Its the time of the season

If I hear "jingle bells" one more time I am going to scream!!

Yeah, the holidays are wearing on me just a tad. And now we are into the countdown.

I still haven't taken The Princess out to look at lights. I did get our lights up, finally. I did get MLW 's present, I just haven't gotten it wrapped and under the tree.

We got an early present this year, I should say the family got an early present. MDW's eldest neice gave birth to a beautiful baby boy the other morning. Early morning. So the family is rejoicing in that. Now we have the birth of her nephews wife to look forward to. That should be coming some time around the first of the year.

I do love babies. Just can't eat a whole one.

Speaking of eating, I am journaling my latest venture into Atkins-land here for those of you who would be interested. So far, after starting on this venture in the middle of November, I have lost 40 pounds. I had an Uncle, since passed away, who always told me that he could help me get rid of 10 ugly lbs fast. Just cut off my head.

I have a loving, supportive family.

Actually, I loved that man. And I do miss him. Enough sentimentality.

Lets get back to why we are here.

So, why is it normal to slow down to 35 mph in a 55 mph zone to look at christmas lights? Are wanting to have your car rear-ended?

Why do people tend to lose their minds when they are in a mall parking lot? Find a spot, and park. Don't wander like you are going to get the most perfect spot in the world, and don't just park in the driving lane. Idiots.

Alcohol and shopping don't mix. You would think that they would, but they don't. So get your drunk on and stay home. I don't want to pick up the items that you knock over. And if you are getting your drunk on, leave the kids at home. They don't know how to deal with the Mr. Hyde character that comes out when you are drunk.

There is going to be a large amount of alcohol consumed over the next week or so. Please be careful, don't drink and drive. Don't let you kids drink and drive, and don't let them ride with someone who has been drinking. Too many alcohol related highway deaths happen around this time of year.

And speaking of the Season of Love. Getting drunk, and beating you partner half to death is not a good way to celebrate the season. Maybe some time away from the bottle would be a good thing.

Just a thought.

Namaste.
